Tiep Dang:
Tiep Dang studied art in Hai Phong's Community Art School within 1976 - 1980 and has exhibited in Hai Phong City numerous times, and some of the Vietnamese and Asian art showed in Toronto in early 1990, "Showing the Rice" illustrates the quiet, poetic beauty of Vietnam's countryside that is a common them in Tiep works. He expresses nostalgic sentiments for the simple lifestyle of the country: "The fertile beauty of the Vietnamese landscapes, the labours and the desires of the peasants merge together towards the day that the rice plants will yield rich blossoms".
